Lech lecha means to go, or to leave. God told Abram to leave his native land and his father's house for a land that God would reveal to him. He promised to make him into a great nation, to bless him, make his name great, and bless those who blessed him, and curse those who cursed him. He was 75 years old at that time. It's not as if he was retiring and selling his home and moving to a condo in Boca Raton to be near his family. This was a major lifestyle shift late in life. But Abram had great faith and was obedient to God. He packed up everything he had and he set out with his wife and his nephew, Lot, to go to this promised land that God was directing him to.
Our founding fathers also had a lot of faith. They too, left their homes because they felt God called them to a foreign land. John Winthrop and his group of Puritans left England, and in 1620 founded the Boston Bay Colony in Massachusetts. They were a group of strong believers with a desire to start a new way of living and to worship God free from tyranny in England. Their desire was to be the City on the hill. It was their dream to establish a type of New Jerusalem here in the New World that all peoples would look up to. They were like Abram, they listened for God's voice and were obedient to his calling. God's desire was to make Israel a light unto the nations. They were to follow God's laws, and people all over the world who followed in their path would be blessed. But Israel fell from grace. They turned away from God. In the same manner, America, this New Promised Land, was to be a light unto the nations. We would be a shining example of people totally devoted to God. In fact, they took a vote to decide if Hebrew to be the language of Bay Colony, and it lost by only one vote. Even the names of our cities are taken from towns in Israel - Jerusalem, Salem, Bethlehem, etc. Unfortunately, America, like Israel, has fallen from grace. If you read the Harbinger volumes I and II by Jonathan Cahn, you will see the uncanny parallel between Israel and the U.S. We are in a freefall. God is shaking us and warning us to return to Him. This is a battle between God and satan, good and evil. Which side do you stand on?
When you say yes to Yeshua (Jesus), God calls you to go to another land, a higher place, a higher state of being. You have to lech lecha. You have to leave this world and all of its trappings behind. You'll still be in this world, but you're not of the world. Our path in this world is merely a highway that leads us to the Promised Land in heaven.
Israel and the U.S. are the only nations founded on Biblical principles. And we are the most blessed of all the nations in the world. The enemy wants our country to lech lecha, to go from being the world-leading independent democracy to an insignificant third world nation that is part of the One World Order, as mentioned in the Book of Revelation. With the One World Order comes a One World religion. It's a form of godliness, but it's phony.
In the House of Representatives, they have intentionally removed "so help me God" from the oath that witnesses must take when testifying before congress. God is being blotted out of our country, just like ancient Israel. We removed Him from our classrooms, our courtrooms, and our public institutions. We are following after the foreign gods of sex, power, and money. But most concerning to God is the shedding of innocent blood. That's the #1 sin that brought Israel down, and we are following in the same path., Our nation has permitted the death of over 61 million babies by way of abortion since the enactment of Roe vs Wade in 1973. Sure, the mothers have a choice but do these silent, innocent babies, these real human beings with a spirit and a soul, do they have a choice?
Our founding fathers established a standard that we are meant to follow in order to keep our nation free. It's called the Constitution of the United States. But many evil people are trying to chip away at our constitution, just like people want to do away with our Bible. As a result, our beacon of light emanating from the city on the hill is growing dimmer and evil is spreading throughout our land.
So why do I bring up all of these issues relating to our country? Because the most important election in our lifetime, in fact, the most important election since 1860, is happening on November 3rd. Our nation's fate is hanging in the balance. Your vote can make a difference. You're in that election booth all by yourself. Your decision can determine if you are still able to live in the land of the free, and the and of opportunity where you have the freedom to become what you want to become if you work hard enough for it, where you have the ability to worship God in the manner you choose, where you have freedom of the press and freedom of expression where no one has the right to censor you.
Israel was scattered for 2000 years because of their poor choices. They had to lech lecha, they had to leave their Promised Land because of their sin. They were scattered throughout the world. We need to be in deep heart-felt prayer for our nation. We have to fight for our nation, just as Abraham had to fight to save his nephew and his possessions. But our weapons of warfare are spiritual. This election will determine if we remain in the land of freedom, or we go to the land of tyranny. Time is running out. The Lord is coming back at any time now, and we need to keep the door open as long as possible so we can win as many souls as possible before it's too late. I pray that you do your research, and find out from reliable sources, not the mainstream media, what each candidate and their party stand for. Choose wisely and choose biblically as you go, lech lecha, to the polls.
